So I have an admission to make, this idea is shamelessly stolen from my children’s school but its just so great I couldn’t not steal it! This morning I have been putting together my own wow wall, a place for my kids to show off and for us to show them how proud we are of what they achieve…
Ok so it’s a little homespun and not massively spectacular yet but it’s there, their medals from school are hung up where they can be proud and they will each have something cool on one of their pegs
The aim is to change what’s on the pegs on a regular basis so that as they do new things they see a change happening, not sure what will go on the baby’s peg, currently he’s into drooling, smearing food and growing at a ridiculous rate!
This blog is part one for a reason though, we are a military family and due to move this year so I don’t want to do anything too permanent that will be a pain to remove when the time comes to up sticks again. I have plans to make part 2 a whole lot bolder though so watch this space…
So the response from the girls tonight was brilliant, they were so pleased to see the medals up on the wall, a space just for them and can’t wait to start getting things added to it, I think this could be more fun than I thought!

What a great idea!
Thank you, having four kids close in age I’m always a little worried they may feel lost in the mix so I thought somewhere physical to show off their achievements would be good. The school gives them the medals and they’re pretty special for them, a real achievement that involves seeing the head and a letter home so those seemed a good centrepiece. I’m already getting carried away with ideas for making it special next time!
